What do you want to be known for? Who you are and how you come across are really important to being successful. Your brand is available 24 hours a day for everyone to see online. Are you putting your best foot forward? Never get content with branding yourself, there’s always room for improvement. Here are some things to think about when wanting to expand your brand.

Become an expert. Take the time to do some research and determine exactly who you are and what makes up your brand. Use words such as collaborative, resourceful, flexible, forward-thinking, connected, visionary, to describe your persona, culture, and outlook. Once you figure out who you are, figure out who you’re looking to target. Whether you’re looking to attract new clients or build your business, you should focus on becoming an expert in your field. Avoid establishing an expertise that’s irrelevant to your mission, goals, and vision. Focus focus FOCUS!

Build a presence. You & your business is being Googled by friends, colleagues, and potential cliebts, so make sure your branded content is what you want people to see when they search. One way to do this is to build a basic online presence through your own website or blog. Post content, write blogs, post pictures to your social media, etc. That way you & your business looks more appealing, and you are now trusted as a legitimate candidate to do business with.

Network. They do say “Your network is your net worth” for a reason. You should be connecting with other young professionals in and around industry by using social networks, events and taking advantage of social media. Networking is one of the best ways to become known in the industry. By building relationships with people in and around your audience, you can grow your business and your brand long-term.

Consistency. Stay consistent. Post to social media, blog post, and continue to show people why they should do business with you. Be clear in who you are and are not. Don’t sugar-coat your qualifications. Express your brand across all communications mediums. Determine where you want to fit in (industry and niche area of expertise) and then remain visible to your target audience. That way once people need your service, they’ll already have you in mind.

Never get content. Always strive to be better. Study your competition, stay ahead of the game. Always work on & find ways to get better. With the way things change nowadays, you can never get too comfortable with your brand.

Branding vs Marketing

Branding vs Marketing 3000 3000 BrandFiend

In this business we have found that one of the biggest misconceptions about what we do is whether we’re a branding or marketing company. While it’s a quite flattering comparison we cannot take the great credit for being considered a “Marketing Company”. My opinion is that, marketing is actively promoting a product or service. It’s a push tactic in order to get sales results. Which is a great strategy, but isn’t branding. Branding should both precede and underlie any marketing effort. Branding doesn’t focus on driving in sales. Branding is the expression of the essential truth or value of any company, product, or service. It is communication of characteristics, values, and attributes that clarify what is unique about that brand.

A brand will help encourage someone to buy a product, and it directly supports whatever marketing strategies are set in place, or set to be in play. Both branding and marketing are both essential strategies when having a business. You can’t have one without the other. Brand Fiend thrives to establish a foundation that ultimately determines if your customers will become a loyal or not. Here at Brand Fiend we strive to understand your dreams, visions, and mix them with our creative abilities to bring the brand you’ve always imagined to life.
